Rates

All our rates are PER ROOM and night.
Breakfast buffet, daily maid service, and sales tax are included.
Tourist tax is NOT included. CHF 4.50 per adult and CHF 1.75 per child between 6-15 years old per night. Children 5 and under pay no city tax.


Renovation Works
Because of some planned renovation works in September/October the hotel’s management decided to offer a 20% discount on the room rates for our bookers.
This is something necessary (e.g. new roof + façade) and needs to be done so we can keep providing a good comfort for your stay.
Please note that there will be metal scaffolding around the house and the views from the rooms/balconies will be limited.
The view from the breakfast room (full valley/waterfall view) will be not affected; so you can enjoy the lovely view while having breakfast.

As for the noise, we believe that it won't have a big impact on your stay and the work won't involve too loud actions.
We cannot guarantee this though, as all renovation work inevitably involves some level of noise. During the day, some external sound from outside needs to be expected.
The workers won't start with the daily work earlier than ~8AM; and they will only work on the outside of the house; not inside. The work will be done on workdays only, on weekends not.
Originally, we planned to begin the renovation in November (after our seasonal closure), however, the architects have informed us that the work needs to start earlier to ensure the project can be completed before winter and the first snowfall.
We thank you for your flexibility, patience, and understanding regarding this matter.


Please note that we can accept a maximum of one extra person in some of the rooms (not every room has space) but only with advance notice.
Unfortunately we cannot accept bookings for 2 adults and two (or more) children in a double room regardless of the age of the children.

Children and extra bed policy

• There is no charge for children younger than 3 years of age (when sharing parents' bed).
• For children older than this up to 6 years of age, we charge CHF 30.-- per night for children sharing their parents’ bed.
• For children over the age of 6, we can supply an extra bed (fold-out bed) at a charge of CHF 75.-- per night
• We can also arrange a cot (baby bed) for young children and babies for a one-time fee of CHF 30.--.

Cancellation conditions for individual bookings (up to 5 rooms)

• Cancellations are free of charge until 3 days before arrival.
• For cancellations made less than 3 days before the reserved day of arrival, one night’s accommodation will be charged.
• Cancellations are honored only if acknowledged and confirmed in writing by the Hotel Staubbach.

Any reservations including 5 (or more) rooms are considered group reservations and for the cancellation conditions the booker needs to contact the Hotel directly!

We can only quote in Swiss francs (CHF).
We accept credit card(s) and cash payments.
Accepted credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express.
Accepted currencies: CHF (coins and notes) and EUR (notes).
